Schoolboy blazer in camel

I have been waiting for this blazer to stock in my color (camel) I love this blazer. The color is closer to the first photo. The material is high quality and the buttons are metal. The linning is perfect to fold the sleeves. The fit is so flattering in petite frames. It is much shorter than my Rhodes blazer. The best part is that is on sale right now! I have the p0 but also tried on the p2 and both fit. I kept the p0 because I don’t plan to layer thick sweaters and the sleeve length fits better my sleeve length is 22″. If you have questions on measurements don’t hesitate to ask.

Classic trench coat

This trench coat is petite friendly! I ordered the pxxs and it fits perfectly. The material is nice and not stiff. The details on the neckline is very nice. The trench is good quality and well made. The strap is a little longer than other coats, but not a deal breaker and perfect if you’d like to tie it like a bow! The sleeve length is perfect and the body length not too short or long. It is lined and beautiful! It’s a bit snug on the shoulders, but I have bigger shoulder and my arms more muscle than other petites. The chest and waist are perfect. I can wear a thin sweater under perfectly. I will be wearing it through chilly Summer nights through Fall! It will have to be steamed and dry cleaned only, but it’s worth it for such a pretty trench 🙂

Petite Rhodes Blazer Jcrew

Summer sales are perfect opportunity to find blazers at a nice price range. This navy Rhodes blazer from Jcrew is absolutely perfect. The material is wool, but it’s light enough for early fall or chilly summer days. I loved the look, pockets, buttons (could be better) but not a deal braker.  The material is almost like a tweed feel, but it feels and looks nice. The style of this blazer is a longer look and perfect for casual wear with skinny jeans! I can’t wait to wear it. I love it. And, for the sale price you can’t go wrong. I will get a lot of wear out of this blazer and I will be purchasing more jcrew styles in the future. As far as sizing….i got the p00, p0, p2. I ended up keeping the petite 0. I usually wear regular xxs and 00 in tops and skirts. However, the petite 00 was snug on me. The p0 was perfect fit! Sleeves  fit perfectly, body length perfectly, and waist and bust perfectly with room to layer a sweater under. If you wear A cup bra the p00 may be ok. For B and C cups the p0 or p2 is a better fit.

I also tried the schoolboy blazer at jcrew factory and the p2 was a perfect fit to layer a sweater under and shorter body length. For the Regent (similar length as the rhodes) and the 00 regular was a good fit with no room to layer a sweater and it has a straight look rather than trim like the Rhodes and schoolboy. I ended up choosing the Rhodes for now. I linked all three for you. If you have questions don’t hesitate to ask. I know that finding the perfect fit could be tricky in blazers. And the sale price is too good to pass.

Red is the new black

Red pants: I found this pants at loft on sale in a beautiful red color and I couldn’t pass them. They are soft and comfortable and stretchy! I got them in a p00 and although they were snug the girl who was helping me recommended that I don’t size up because they’ll stretch. She was right. I put them on when I got home to be sure they would stretch and after a few mints they felt perfectly fitted. If you like a looser look go up one size otherwise this baby will stretch a bit. The color is lovely it looks better in person and I can wear them all through Summer and Fall. The inseam is 26inches so for me they aren’t cropped, but perfect length! They have both the Marissa fit and Julie fit and I got marissa, but normally wear julie fit. I included both for you.

Red Jacket: I found this jacket at Banana Republic on sale plus 50%off. Yay. It’s linen, so perfect for cooler summer nights. The color is lovely. Not too bright. It’s a little lose, but the belt solves that. It’s really cute and once you figure out how to place the ruffles it looks great. I’d say though that if you want to wear it open the ruffles don’t drape. So, It’s a cute jacket, but needs to be belted to look great. The sleeves seem about an inch too long, but they could easily be rolled. Goes great with Jeans.

Little blazer

This beautiful and elegant blazer is listed as pink, however the color is more like a red when you look closer. In a distance though it looks pink. It is a bit on the thick side, but it won’t make you too warm. It can be worn on cooler Spring days with a strappy top then take it off if you get warm or are inside. It can be dressed up with pencil skirts or dressed down with skinny jeans and yet look polish all the time. It runs true to size, but sizes are running out. However, if you check regularly you may get lucky as people do make returns. Also, I linked a cream color very similar to this pink one, so take a look. I initially had the 0 regular, but the sleeves were a bit long. I think for 5.1′ and taller women the sleeves should be ok. I got lucky and found a 0p that had been returned! It can be paired with shades of pink, cream and gray. It is well made and I am sure it will last me a long time. It’s 40% on top of the sale price so yay!

Pink tweed fringe blazer 0p by Banana Republic and also an alternative option very similar also by BR in a cream color available in regular and petite sizes 40%off Here The Katespadeny handbag is under categories – handbags, so take a look it’s on sale.

Coats

Windy afternoon

Today the weather in the Midwest changed again. After being warmer than it has been I woke up to a windy day. Obviously, windy days call for a coat, so I decided to give you guys a post with a trench coat! It’s hard to find a nice trench coat that won’t break the bank and that fits on a petite girl 😉 Well, this short trench coat is perfect if your are petite. It’s beautiful and goes with many outfits. The best part is under $100.00 and most trench coats I looked into were a lot more than that. The sleeves are a bit long, but the material can be easily tailored or folded which I opted for. The overall length is perfect for a petite girl as it hits above my knee. It has a slimmer fit than most trench coats I tried, so that was a plus for me because too much material is never good for petites. Today I paired it with comfortable leggings and a light lovely sweater. Click on image to enlarge. Enjoy!

The lovely sweater is an xs by Maison Jules, however they are out of stock. Similar option by Maison Jules on sale plus 25%off. The lenght is good for pettites, but I did have to fold the sleeves a little, but you can’t tell since the material is light, thin, and colored block. Leggings are size S by Zara find similar here their leggings are so comfortable you can’t go wrong. I did have them tailored at the bottom. Handbag by London Fog similar here and black flats by SteveMadden similar at DSW. Finally, the short trench coat size 2 by H&M. Happy shopping! ✌😉
